After looking over my research of front covers of music magazines I decided to change the main image on my front page. The other image that I had originally used consisted of the artist holding a guitar, this helped represent the genre of the magazine but wasn't a typical code and convention. The most important aspect of the main image on a front page is that it focuses on the artist and I think that the guitar took attention away from the artist. From the research that I have conducted most of the images are close ups of the artists face, wherethe artist is looking directly at the camera. I have changed my image to suit the code and conventions of a front page main image. I used as close up camera shot of the artist in order to engge the reader and make it clear that the main article in the magazine is of this artist. The clothing that the artist is wearing clearly represents the genre of inide as her style is highly seen in the indie industry as she is wearing a long sleeved black top covered by a flowered top. The artists make up also represents the genre as it is simple but emphasises certain aspects of her face such as her lips as she is wearing a light red lipstick, engaging the readers eyes to her lips. As the artists hair covers quite a lot of the image it draws the readers attention toher hair and face.
