After placing my main image onto the magazines front page I changed the colour of the title as it was clearer in a white font and fitted in with the house style colours more than the black did. The white title also represents the genre in a better way as it is more calming and engaging to the audience as it is more dominant over the background colour. I chose to take the photo of the artist like this as it clearly represents the genre of indie/acoustic music as she is holding a guitar which is seen as a code and convention of particularly acoustic magazines. Her style again represents the genre as she her style is hipster and current with the trends just like her wearing a denim jacket. I may reconsider taking my main image again as the whole guitar isn't in the image and it is a key prop as it represents the genre. I have included a key convention of that the artist is looking directly at the camera,this is important as it gives the artist a sense of personality and engages he reader as they are looking directly at them.
