double page spread 04
I have added the main image of the artist onto this addition of my double page spread. I have chosen an environment in which I believe will engage the reader and represent the genre of indie/acoustic. I have placed the image in a certain position so that the artists name is still a main objective of the image as well as the image being a large focus. I have also included the magazines name in the top right hand corner as this is a code and convention of a music magazine in order to further reiterate that the article is from the magazine. I would like to re-take the main photo main as I believe that the artist isn't fully the focus of the image as she is looking away from the camera, I may also change the location in order to fully fit with the genre and engagement of the readers eye. If |I chose to keep the same location I will move the quote over onto the same image page, and will place the quote on the wall as though it is graffiti. This will represent the genre as it is more unusual, it will also draw in the readers attention as they will acknowledge the quote as part of the image.
On the left is the adapted version of my double page spread. I have made changes to this version from the version before by adding a background colour behind the article text, this has made it more conventional as it isn't as plain as it was before and not many of the magazines that I have researched had a plain white background behind the main article.
