I firstly began by placing the title of my magazine in the centre, at the top of the page as this is a typical convention for all magazines to have as it clearly draws the readers eye to the name and can identify the articles with this particular magazine. Then I chose to put the artist's name towards the left hand side of the page as it engages the reader but doesn't take a lot of attention away from the main image (when I place it in). Through my research I found that magazines such as NME used little blocks of colour to emphasise certain aspects of the magazine and text. I have used these block to emphasise the text about Annabel which will be underneath her name and the text on the other side of the page which will be another key article in the magazine. I chose to use a pink font for Annabel's name as it connotes her gender and can also be seen to represent her genre of music as it is calming like acoustic/indie music. The synergy between the pink text and blocks of pink will make the magazine stand out as it is quite an eye catching colour and is emphasised among the black, white and grey text. Next I will add in my text for the main article and other articles and will aim to take my photos.
