Front page template

I have chosen to set out my front cover like this because it leaves enough room for the text, to give the reader enough information about what's in the magazine but also engages the reader to find out what the articles are all about. The image will pro dominantly take up the majority of the page as this is the main code and convention of a magazine and that it will engage the readers attention the most by who features in the magazine. The title will be partially overlapped by the image as through my research this is highly common. Under the title I will include a date, when the magazine issued and an issue number to portray the magazine to be realistic. The large box to the left will contain the artists name, which will be in a different font to the title as this is common throughout current, successful magazines such as Q. I will also have a banner at the bottom of my page as this is a key code and convention and gives the audience more to get evolved with in the magazine. I will try to adapt my the level of text on the front cover because with my template it doesn't look like enough to engage a large audience in with, I will later develop this and show you my progress.
