double page spread 06
It is the same insistence as the front page, I felt as though my double page main image wasn't very conventional and I felt as though I needed to change the main image. The old image didn't particularly represent the genre very well and wasn't clear to the audience that the magazine was an indie/acoustic magazine. In order to make the genre of my magazine clearer I changed my main image. I like the background behind the artist is it gives a sense of rebellion, as it is taken in front of a giant rustic container. The colour of the background makes the artist emphasised among the text and the artist still stands out among the bright yellow as she is wearing quite neutral colours. I again changed the colour of the artists name to blue as the pink text from before wasn't easily noticeable on top of the yellow background. I think that all the colours on the image and text compliment one another as they aren't too distracting and all seem to work well with one another. I have also applied a blue background rather than the grey as it looked a little dull, the blue re-emphasises the artists name on the right hand side page. The blue also makes the text more readable as the grey on grey could ahve been seen to be harder to read.
